After spending Season 2 away and missing a few races, Tengku Djan Ley, is back and eager to prove his competitiveness in the one-make Vios Challenge race series competing amongst a competitive pool of elite drivers in the Super Sporting Class.
The Season 1 Super Sporting class champion Tengku Djan Ley of 23 Motors produced a consistent form in his comeback season to a second place at the opening round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival and Toyota Vios Challenge held at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Terengganu. Race One winner of the race was Laser Motor Racing’s Mark Darvin and third place was Tedco Racing’s Bendon Lim.
Mark Darwin won the 22-lap race just half a second ahead of Tengku Djan Ley. The elites in the Super Sporting class drove a close but clean race from start to finish.
Held on specially-constructed 1.65km street circuit, the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Festival and Toyota Vios Challenge is Malaysia’s premier street racing series.
