The other three will be competing in the Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.
“The five young riders will take on a two-week intensive training under the former Moto3 and World Supersports rider, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, who are the cornerstone of the program. The training will also be supported by former rider, Ahmad Zamani Baharuddin.
“They will be tested in various aspects including riding skills, fitness, dedication and commitment before Fahmi and Zamani make any selection of 2 best riders to SIC who deserve to compete in CEV world races.
“We want to choose a truly qualified racer because the program involves a huge investment,” said SIC CEO, Dato ‘Razlan Razali.
Driven with the determination to produce world-class riders such as Zulfahmi, SIC launches the ‘Dream to MotoGP’ program with open online on-line registration for riders aged between 13 and 16 in December last year. Of all the hundreds of applications, 40 were selected for the test session on Saturday with the group being scaled down to 26 on last day’s test session before the last five were selected.
