Thailand’s Trakarn Thangthong is this season’s Asian Class Champion of the 2017 FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship with 211 points. However, home rider Khairi Zakaria stole the limelight with a grand closure to a solid win of Moto 2 taking his points tally to 203 point just 8 points short for the title. Muhd Habibullah (Gabit) with 147 points took third in the championship standing.

United Kingdom’s Lewis Cornish took the International Open Class with 212 point with second and third finish in the fnale round of the 2017 FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship. Simon Vilhelmsen of Denmark took the win in Moto 1 and finished second in Moto 2 despite having a tumble in the early laps of both races. Simon Vilhelmsen is world number four in this season World Supermoto Championship.
FIM Asia SuperMoto Championship also extended E-Plus Global Sdn Bhd for 10 year to promoted Asia Supermoto series.
