Anita Yusof, female Malaysian adventure rider has finally arrived at the Malaysian border today after completed over 65,000 km of journey riding a motorcycle. Started the tour in the American continents, she has travelled through from Canada to the United States of America and down south to Brazil, Columbia, Chile and Argentina where an emotional video of her reaching Ushuaia (the southernmost city in the world) has made rounds in the biking communities.
From there, the bike was flown to London where she continued touring the United Kingdom. Then when in Europe, she was received by GIVI President himself, Mr Giuseppi Visenzi in the highly anticipated event at GIVI Srl Headquarters in Brescia, Italy. GIVI is also the title sponsor for the ‘Global Dream Ride (GDR) 2016’, a term Anita has coined for her adventure ride this time around.
Upon arriving on the 16th September of Malaysia Day, Anita has expressed her thankfulness to the parties that has made possible of this dream journey. “I have to thank God Almighty for keeping me safe the entire journey and to be able to reach Malaysian soil again. Also, I want to thank all my family and friends for always believing in me. Last but not least, I wish to extend my gratitude to all the sponsors that are supporting my longest and most meaningful journey ever”, said Anita upon entering Malaysia.
Asked about her future rides, she continues “Let me take a rest for a while first. I have not seen my family for a year and I want to spend time with them and catch up on things.”
Mr On Hai Swee, Managing Director of GIVI Asia Sdn Bhd expressed his gratefulness on Anita’s safe return. “We are glad that the journey has been completed and with our equipment which we hoped assisted along in her most challenging trip.”, he quipped.
