CMC Italjet 125 is arguably a rather nicely designed sports scooter from the pen of Italian Alessandro Tartarini. Taking obvious design cue from the gorgeous Ducati Panigale sports bike.
We took the CMC Italjet 125 to the test, and the stunning Italian design scooter felt like it’s been solidly built. You can’t ignore its alien look with the eyebrow type LED double head lamps, which flashes with 6 LED in a row day light running light (DRL) set on both headlamps when the ignition is on. There is a vent between the headlamps which gives an impression like the nose top of a beast where two more vents just below the head lamp, which look similar to the nose hole. Overall when you see the scooter from the front will get an outline like Ducati Panigale.
Top speed of the CMC Italjet 125 showed 120km/h on the digital meter. But I did follow side by side with a Kawasaki ZX6 but my meter showed 100km/h. I have experience that moped and scooters have a lighter reading compare to superbikes in nature.
It can zip through traffic and it’s practical with its automatic gearbox, comfy riding position and underseat storage. Unlike a typical scooter the handling is tighter thanks to a stiff chassis, front and rear disc brakes and wide tyres.
It was so much fun going to nearby café’s without any hassle and buzzing through traffic free of stress.
My wife and her friend enjoyed riding the Italjet to get some stuff from the grocery store nearby.
