Venue: Sepang International Kart Circuit (SKiC)
Saturday, 6th August 2016, a group of bike enthusiasts from Malaysia and Singapore had marched to Sepang International Cart Circuit which situated next to Sepang F1 International Circuit for the latest edition i-Moto i-RideClinic experience which celebrated its 1st anniversary.
These bike enthusiast were the participants for the i-RideClinic which was actually one of the i-RideClinics series been organized by i-Moto. i-Moto has already successfully organised 16 i-RideClinic in the span of 1 year.
The participants which consists of multi-types of bike enthusiasts which consist of BMW R1200 GS, Ducati Multistrda, DucatI Panigale, Honda CBR1000SP from Pahang, 2 Suzuki DMZ400 the way from Singapore, Yamaha MT-07 & MT-09, a Kawasaki ZX-6R owner who flew all the way from Sibu, Sarawak, 2 Kawasaki Ninja 250 and Honda CBR500.
Among the bikers participants were a lady Kawasaki ER6N rider (Yulina) and another lady MT-09 owner.(Misha Rohaizat)
Roger, the organizer of the i-RideClinic, started off the event with a tutorial on dafety riding on track and followed with an hour of theory and a practical riding technique on the track.
The main purpose of the of the i-Riding Clinic Series are :
i- To build confidence and riding skills on the bike on track and on the open road.
ii- To teach bikes enthusiasts on technics and tips on handling big bikes on track and on the open road.
iii- To teach bikers the riding technics which eventually able to knee down at corners.
Mr Roger (RC Moto) is the founder of i-Moto who is formerly from Fast Bike Malaysia Magazine and Bike Trade. Roger has a total of 26+ years in riding experience combining road racing skills and road defensive riding and motocross experience. He has review over 300 bikes in the past 3 years with www.i-Moto.com.my
The event were conducted on a fun and enjoying atmosphere. Everyone were most welcome to ask any questions regarding track tips and techniques which were happily shared by Mr Roger.
Misha, one of the lady rider which was a first time participants were feeling very nervous but excited when the event started off but toward the end of the event, she managed to knee-down on her left knee and on her right knee on corners. Which she claimed to be very satisfying considering she has just bought her Yamaha MT-09 for few months.
Mr Izzat was one of the participant which has a mishap and involved in an accident. However, he didn’t complain on the accident. In fact he was so confident that he didn’t stop after the mishap and keep on riding for few more laps on track.
Yulina, was another lady rider, riding a Kawasaki ER6 which has joined the previous i-RideClinic organized by i-Moto and she is a regular participation in i-RideClinic as the loves to ride in the track. She was very happy with the result of her participation she had an opportunity to test ride a Kawasaki ZX-6R to show off on how confident she was after the session finishes. Now Yulina is confidant to handle most big bikes and able to knee down on any given bike after her first knee-down two i-RideClinic ago.
Mr Cheah (1st time participant, one of six participant that came all the way from Pahang) which was riding BMW R1200GS was initially didn’t feel comfortable with the track and going slow on the 1st try out. But eventually after a few more tips and technic as well as a few more rounds on track, he has developed the confidence and had a smiling face at the end of the i-RideClinic. He even started to take the corners on a little bit lower degree than before.
All participants were back home with few more new experience as well as new Technics and new riding skills. And some of the participants has started to request for the next i-RideClinic.
T-Shirt & Certificate of Participation will be given. Food lunch, fruits & drinks will be provided. RM350. Even the photographs is well worth the RM350 besides the riding skills you are taking home!

i-RideClinic more about making you comfortable with your bike, rather than shaving off those two-tenths of a second off your lap times but still can show you how to knee down and pop a wheelie if you want. The basic aim here is to remove the everyday distractions of our roads, and provide a safe and fun environment to really see what you and your bike are capable of when enjoying the corners on your weekend rides!
