RIDE FOR SIGHT
Thirty-three years old Mohd Adib or better known as Adib has planned it all out to ride his motorcycle from Penang to China. The main objective of this epic ride is to assist the St. Nicholas Home in Penang.
St. Nicholas is an NGO who trains visually impaired and blind individuals from age 6 to 77 irrespective of religion, race and background. The Home strives to help the blind and visually impaired of Malaysia to be integrated into the society with the training given to them.
Adib’s ride to China is aptly called Ride For Sight. This ride will take him approximately 27 days. He will kick start his ride from Penang.
“My ride kicks off on the 20th November 2018 and end on 15th December 2018.The route I will be riding is from Penang – Thailand – Golden Triangle Border (Myanmar, Thailand & Laos) – Shangri-La – Tibet – Kunming – Laos – Thailand and back to Penang”
Adib will be riding his trusted Yamaha FZ150i. Adib is no stranger to overland rides on a motorcycle. In 2013, he did a solo ride around Peninsular Malaysia, in 2016 he continued with Ride Solo 7 Nations Expedition (Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Laos and Myanmar) and recently in 2017 he took part in the Colombo Bike Week in Sri Lanka.
In conjunction with the Ride For Sight, Adib is selling specially designed t-shirts.
